Services & Refund Policy​

After you have booked a service, you will receive an email with a PDF to download. There is a link that you will complete with an acknowledgment form and a place to upload the document. Once those are complete, you will receive a confirmation email from Dr. Keating acknowledging receipt of your payment and document.  The acknowledgment form reads:

 

This contract is between the client (you) and DK Education Consultant (the “Editor”).

The acknowledgment is dated and signed to ensure that all items below are understood and agreed upon. The payment will be made through the DK Education Consulting website and can be paid with a debit or credit card. 

1.0 The project. The service will start on the date the service is paid for and the document is uploaded. If the service is prepaid for, the start date will start the day the document is received.

  • 1.0.1 For Edits Services. The client understands that once the document and payment are received, the turnaround time that was purchased will start. Edits include: (a) proofread the entire document (b) check APA format of the document, (c) run through recite-works to ensure all in-text citations are correct and the reference list aligns to the citations in the document, (d) edit the appendices, (e) correct the TOC, (f) fix the navigation pane, (g) formatting the List of Tables and Tables, (h) formatting the List of Figures and format of Figures, and (i) point out short and long paragraphs for the client to correct. Edits do not include comments on how to improve the quality or structure of sentences and paragraphs.          

    • 1.0.2 Edit comments. Edits only include the things mentioned above and comments will be left for you to address things like short and long paragraphs, incomplete sentences, and missing citations/references. Depending on where you are at in the process, coaching would be beneficial to help improve content. Please note: Any content changes that change sentence structure and paragraph flow may result in a student needing to have their committee and university reapprove of the chapters.

       

  • 1.0.3 For Coaching services. The client understands that DK Education Consulting does move content, add content, delete content, or change the structure of sentences/paragraphs within the document. Dr. Keating will add comments as suggestions to improve the content and flow of the document. Within the coaching packages, Dr. Keating will also point out grammar, spelling, format, and in-text citations to help the client's document in all areas of format, sentence structure, paragraph structure, alignment, and overall document flow.          

    • 1.0.4 Returning document. Dr. Keating will provide a turnaround time for document reviews.

       

1.1 DK Education Consulting does not write for any client. Services do not include writing or rewriting content for students because that is considered ghost writing and plagiarism, instead, Dr. Keating will read through the content and provide suggestions if there are any necessary changes for sentences that are not complete or not clear. Dr. Keating does not add to or delete sentences or paragraphs or address committee comments about content because every committee member is different and may request different things like repetitive content.

 

1.2 Schedule. Dr. Keating will confirm the date that the document will be returned based on the type of services purchased.

  • 1.2.1 Changes within the Document. The client understands that DK Education Consulting does not add content, delete content, or add content to sentences/paragraphs within the document. DK Education Consulting does not ghost write for students.

  • 1.2.2 Changing the document after it is submitted. The client understands that once the document is sent to Dr. Keating, they cannot change the document to a new document. If there is an absolute need for the document to be changed, it will result in a $75 charge and a new return date. The client understands that they need to upload the most recent version of their document to avoid any document changes.

1.3. Writing Content. The client understands that DK Education Consulting does not write content for them. If there are comments from Committee Members to address, the Client will need to address those comments. Within a coaching service, DK Education Consulting will offer suggestions on how to address the comment but will not write the content for the client. In any service, Dr. Keating does not add to or delete sentences or paragraphs or address committee comments about content because every committee member is different and may request different things like wanting content to be repeated, while another committee does not want repetitive content. In a coaching service, Dr. Keating will guide you to the feedback you are being provided but will not write it for you.

  • 1.3.1 Changes within the Document. DK Education Consulting will only offer suggestions in coaching services by adding a comment on how to make changes to sentences that need improvement. Edits will not include coaching comments on how to improve content. Please see 1.0.1 for more details.

  • 1.3.2 Citations and Reference List DOI. The client understands that DK Education Consulting cannot add citations or sources to the document. It is important that all sources are added to the reference list by the client before the project begins. This will ensure that the client’s https://doi number is associated with the client’s search, and the correct source is added to the document.

1.4 Payment. The Client will pay a non-refundable payment the through DK Education Consulting website.

  • 1.4.1 Payments. All payments are required to be paid at the start of the service. Coaching packages and editing services are only for the duration of time that is listed in section. Everything that is provided is a service and because they cannot be returned, no refunds will be issued. By clicking “I agree,” the client agrees and understands this.

  • 1.4.2 Changing editing turnaround days. All edits are based on turnaround times. The client understands that requesting the document to be returned by a different turnaround timeframe, the client will be required to pay the difference between what was originally paid for and the new turnaround. For example, if the client pays for a 4-day turnaround and wants it back in 2 days, the client needs to pay the remaining balance between the 4-day turnaround and the 2-day turnaround.

1.5 Client’s Ownership of Work. All work belongs to the client. By signing this document, the client agree that DK Education Consulting DOES NOT write work for the client. DK Education Consulting only agrees to complete the services that are purchased.

 

1.6 Services Provided. Once the document is submitted to DK Education Consulting by the client, the client cannot submit additional documents as part of this agreement.

  • 1.6.1 Right to refuse services. The client understands that DK Education has the right to refuse services at any time. Any behavior that is considered unprofessional or harassing in nature will result in forfeiture of payment and services will cease.

1.7. Additional edits and coaching. If additional edits/coaching services are needed, there will be an additional cost and a new agreement signed. This agreement only covers the services covered in the 1.0 Project section of this agreement.

  • 1.7.1 For Editing Services Only: If changes are made to the document after Dr. Keating returns it, this will result in a new service and full-service price.

  • 1.7.2 For all services: The timeframe of the service will depend on the service purchased. It will not cover additional time outside of what is paid for. If more time or work is needed, this will result in a new service and full-priced service. For example, if you purchase a 2-week coaching and the 2-week coaching timeframe  has ended, you will need a new service in order to continue coaching.

1.8. Communication and Response Times. The client understands that DK Education Consulting will respond within 24 hours. DK Education Consulting will use email for communication and does not require students to follow up through multiple communication sources such as text, Facebook messenger, or other apps.

  • 1.8.1. Client's Email. It is the responsibility of the client to check their email. If they have not received the email in the timeframe that Dr. Keating has said, they will immediately let Dr. Keating know.

1.9. Client Questions and Clarifications. Once the document is returned to the client, the client can ask any questions for clarification. If the client notices any issues, they will immediately let Dr. Keating know within 72 hours of receiving the document back.
